At 13, Jake thinks he has life all figured out. He would go to college on a
baseball scholarship and be drafted into the Majors. But Jake's dream
vanishes when he inadvertently witnesses a hold-up at a Chicago convenience
store.
Wracked with concern for his family's safety, Jake's father decides to leave
the city violence behind and move back to rural Minnesota. Despite Jake's
angry protestations, the family moves to Providence River Campground to live
and work as the site's caretakers.
Forced to clean toilets and perform menial chores as part of the campground
staff, Jake becomes even angrier at his dad and their new life. Then the
former city boy meets Peter and Brian, a father and son from across the river.
Jake and Peter form a fast friendship that God uses to transform Jake's life
in unimaginable ways...
