I remember I was absolutely apalled when I read it, since I'd been
considering ordering the DVD from ah mah zone you kay for both of us,
and now I can't find the discussion where I found this out....
However, compare the VHS and DVD running times for the VHS (dot com)
and the DVD (dot co dot uk). You'll need to convert, since the VHS is
NTSC and the DVD is PAL)
VHS is 110 minutes NTSC (which is 105.6 PAL)
DVD is 105 minutes PAL (which is 109.4 NTSC)
so now that I've done the math I don't see a whackload of difference.
Maybe the one who posted the complaint had a bogus or alternative DVD
release (such as an import, modified to get past customs).
I'll keep looking for the DVD and we will see what we will see
