The movie itself isn't awful, it's just sad to see a true great lady
struggle so with a part she just didn't have the health to do.
Ms Ball is (was) six years my senior (more or less, depending on the
source, I'm going with 1911), and I had a near lifelong respect for
her. Not a crush, just admiration. If we'd had computers back then I
would have been posting I Love Lucy episodes right off the tube - as
some do with currently popular tv shows.
