Not entirely. Although that may be true, it isn't what I'm getting at.
One of the DVDs I mentioned (that I'd like to separate myself and my
post from as far as possible) is a very poor DVD5 and the colours look
so washed out compared to this DVD. That's why I post a preview of my
own post, so the quality can be shown - and the whole post can be
disregarded if not up to the downloader's standards. Clips/previews
etc that do not represent the media I'm posting, I don't object if
people watch them or share them, with the proviso that what I've
posted here is not the source.

Ok then it would appear that no youtube post could be a quality
preview for a DVD source. Hmm, I also don't see MKV, which means my
encodes will still need the previews I post. Given the added cost of
being able to upload them elsewhere, I'll stick with uploading what I
have on Usenet - I don't have the budget to go computer/internet
shopping for a system/provider that allows for streaming.

I have no way of knowing what the clips there are, but I know that the
preview I post with mine represents both content and media quality, so
that's sufficient for me. It might even create confusion were I to
post others' encodes with mine, and it would be rather redundant since
they're already up there for those who do streaming to see. It would
also be rather not possible since my Internet computer does not do
streaming, and my entertainment computer doesn't do Internet,

I can't just stay in bed 24-7, I'd never recover. It's in part about
getting things back to normal, but just not as heavily into it.
Believe me, look at the lacunae between my posts - I rest a great
deal, and come the end of the month, I'll be moving, so I'll disappear
for a month or so for that. Indeed I have help already lined up, no
heavy lifting for me.

If he wants to download this DVD and give it a try, that'd be great.
Or if he's got a step-by-step tutorial I'd gladly try that. Hint hint
(hi Moz) :)
I have another Russian DVD coming here in a few weeks (I just ordered
it a couple of days ago, and I hope it arrives in time for me to
process it and post it before the grand move.
But I'll leave it for now as a surprise :)
Not even 1130pm yet, but I think I'll pack it in early. CR and a GP
appointment tomorrow, so I likely won't be around.
BTW the MKV versions of this DVD and its dominant extra will appear in
abpba starting early in the morning if it's done before I have to
leave, otherwise, they'll be posted when I get back.
