To answer all your questions, first the server issues with astraweb are what made me think seriously about staying with them. I can't afford more than one server, and the 20th of October I probably could have renewed (though I've budgeted otherwise now) but decided to try others before buying anything else.
When I returned to Usenet last September, I was with Usenetserver for one month, then saw that astraweb's pricing was better (and I don't have a sufficiently high speed internet to justify something like giganews, although I will do their free trial just cuz) and went with them, and they were okay for up to a couple of months ago.
Regarding the email addy, if you take out the NOSPAM, that's it. Alternatively, you can email me via my TWB profile, but I think you have to be registered there for that to work.
I won't be able to post on the groups for some time (I don't think any of the free trials allow posting, though only Giganews states expressly that you can't post on the trial) and the email is open when ever I'm at the computer, so you're welcome to drop me a line if you wish.
