Thanks. This is the first time that's happened to me. I looked at a
random sample of various m4b files and most (not all) were VBR and
most were around 64kbps.
I ran a couple of the 32kbps (approximately) m4b VBR files through
Inaudible and was not able to repeat the speed up as in the Dogs of
War m4b file. Another of life's mysteries. And,yes I know, it's
pretty pointless to up the bitrate of an mp3.
On another topic, I checked out a ebook from the library yesterday. A
graphics intensive children's book that was only available as an azw
file. That one gave me fits trying to remove the DRM and maintain the
original layout and graphics. I managed to get it into a .mobi file,
but that was the only format that worked. Even the deDRMed azw file
looked awful.
