I've done nothing different to that I normally do, it must be that Maigret, being forrin, is
reacting differently :)
My best advice is to use a prog (app) which edits the tags for you. I use MP3tag (free)
which may look complicated at first glance but is a lot more intuitive than it first
appears.
You have to do the work on a pc of course. First gather the offending files together in one
folder and use "file-change directory" in MP3tag to show your files.
Ensure the files are sorted by filename (click on the filename header bar) highlight all the
parts of a particular book and press the "autonumbering wizard icon" towards the right of
the icon bar, it has a small 1 2 3 diagonally on it. This puts the tracks in filename order
in 1,2,3 sequence, and it should be ok then.
