First, ensure you are in Normal mode (i.e. not in Easy).
1) Pause the file you are listening to
2) Press 'VOL'. Depending on which version of the firmware you have, you
will now see a list of the files in that book or a list of the main folders
on the drive
3) Press and hold (that is the important bit) the Play/Pause button. The
screen will now display the numbers 1, 2 and 3 which after a couple of
seconds will light up then the device drops into standby then you can power
it down.
You should find it now goes back to where you left off.
