I've had one of these for 6 months and agree it is a great player,
especially for that battery life. Did a test and got 72 hours before
needing a recharge. However, the firmware/interface is a bit cranky.
If you haven't done so already (should be on version 1.7) go here to get
a firmware update -

Although the screenshots are in Chinese, it is fairly simple to follow
the instructions.

For me, I have my books in a sub-folder 'Books' within the pre-existing
'Music' folder. What confuses is that you need to ensure you navigate to
them off the front screen 'Folder' icon rather than 'Music'. So the
navigation sequence is -
Folder -> Local Folder -> Music -> Books
Once in there, everything runs okay with the books.
