Nine books in all. I've left out Mother Tongue as the copy I have of this
is bad i.e. speeds up and slows down in places and, mysteriously, cuts into
different books completely (one is a Terry Pratchett and another sounds
like a thriller-ish thing with the unmistakable voice of George Guidall).
FWIW, I think Mother Tongue (despite the title) is a book best read.
