 I just finished this (not a long book).
 
 1. Patti Smith has a slight NY accent, but her deadpan delivery works
 well for the detached aspects of our hero.  I didn't like her for the
 first few minutes then grew to like her a lot.
 
 2. One of the darkest books I ever read.  I would call it "noir", but
 that means "black" and we need a darker descriptor than that!
 
 3. I am anxious to see the next in the series, which your file
 descriptor implies there will be.
 
 Anyway, thanks for all that you post.  You are prolific and have lots
 of variety.
