Giganews recently (year ago?) dropped it's amazing retention rates.
They even removed the claims of thousands of days on their web site.
After noticing I wasn't getting shows as easily, someone mentioned this
and that the service isn't what it used to be. Several online folks
suggested Ninja, so I tried it (free trial). Instead of 20 connections
I get 50. You can split them up as far as I know... I believe I set
like 45 for my show grabber and leave a few for groups like this when
I'm away from home. At worse you get denied connection for having too
many open, but I don't think it ever bitches about 2 IPs accessing at
same time as long as you each limit your total # of connections.
At $12/mo I got a lot out o fmy giganews for quite. a while. But not
now. And now there is at least 1 better service for far less!
Do the trial for a week to be sure your speeds are still acceptable.
