Certainly, posting now.
Regarding Snapple, my memory is a bit fuzzy. I started drinking it in
1986 because of the live commercials and I worked in NYC. It was hard
to find, especially in quality back then. I still stock up on 12
packs to this day when it goes "on sale" for $6
After the "boycott" was over, I really do not recall hearing
commercials again but I was likely skipping commercials on my
cassettes anyway (although I would sometimes listen to live
commercials as many of them turned into bits. Perhaps they never came
back, couldn't agree on rates, etc.
As I proceed through 1997 and the years, I'll be sure to mention any
more Snapple mentions. The historical source files are largely CF
and originate out of Dallas, which is interesting because on 5-30-97
they talked about Dallas dropping the show effective September 1997
because the new owner, Nationwide Insurance, did not want to continue
paying for the show - I find out how this resolves in a few weeks...
