Yes, it is still SLOW. Just took about 3 days to download about 2 GB of
content. Besides being incredibly slow it seems that all the content
which was previously found in newsgroups like this one or on websites
can only be found on Freenet or Tor. I do not know of any ways to speed
up the downloading of the content. The best thing I can offer is that
you download the content and then repost it here on this and other
newsgroups like this one so that everyone will have faster access.
Finding good content takes a little searching, but not much. On the
Linkageddon page there are several links to good content pages or at
least pages that index the good content. Apparently there is also a
discussion/chat application known as Frost that can help you out with
locating content, but I am not able to test this out at this time.
I will upload the recent content I downloaded, but I won't be available
after that content is finished uploading. Accessing this content has
subjected my life to great scrutiny recently and threatened many
aspects of my life. So, I am uploading the content I downloaded and
leaving this newsgroup and others behind for good. Tough decision, but
it is a life or death thing...
