We must all face reality, so yes, "right now".
Our governments and countries must all stop living beyond their means. It is
inappropriate to saddle future generations with the debt of our largess and
self-generosity.
The national debt of my country is equal to more than 7x the GDP of the UK. the
national debt of the UK is almost equal to the UK GDP.
I understand that most people just want what they want and don't care if others
have to pay the freight, but all of this socialist generosity is going to
catch-up with us and then we will collapse like a house of cards.
You claim everyone is stealing from you. I say we don't pay attention to what
our elected representatives are doing and then we bitch about it when the things
they did openly, put us in the poor house.
Whose fault is it? I say it is all our faults for being apathetic when times
were good and for electing self-serving politicians who only wish to get
re-elected and because of that, they are too afraid to say "No, enough spending,
enough taxation".
Our societies, as a whole, are too narcissistic and will not vote for
politicians who tell us we can't have what we want, even when "No" is the
correct answer.
