The "Complete Monstrous Compendium" I created was intended as a
compilation of all the original "Monstrous Compendium" appendices (the
hole-punched ones that you were supposed to put in 3-ring binders). I
mostly created it so I'd have one giant, easily-searchable file for
use whenever I DM'd (much easier than hauling around all those stupid
binders or searching through 20+ files :-)

The "Monstrous Compendium Annuals"  on the other hand were supplements
to the "Monstrous Manual", which was released for the "AD&D 2.5"
revision and basically replaced the Monstrous Compendium series. They
had a totally different art style and many of the monsters in the
"Annuals" were already covered in the "Compendiums", so it didn't seem
right to combine the sets.

Maybe one day I'll do an unofficial "Complete Monstrous Manual" which
includes all the Monstrous Manual and Annuals.

Of course, the ULTIMATE goal would be to create a combination of all
the monsters from all the Appendices/Manuals/Annuals into one big book
(discarding the older duplicates?) and organizing it by alphabet. But
I've enough on my plate already that - if I ever undertake such a task
- it won't be for years and years and years ;-)
