Because most newsgroups are half dead, and having any sort of activity,
even if not entirely as per newsgroup name, is amazing? ;p
In truth, though, alt.rpg is suitably empty. We can take it over and
discuss there.
In the next year, I'm thinking about setting up a FirstClass server so
that we can properly archive our collections--my country of residence
has wicked cheap hosting, and I can upload at 50-70 Mbps, and download
at around the same speed.
