Not my doing, whoever ripped it back in the day did it. I personally
prefer the non OCR files, since non OCRed files preserve the look of
the originals. Furthermore, if you really wanted, you could OCR the
files yourself from the source.
I'm pretty proud of my collection, though: it took quite a bit of time
to go through all the mega-torrents to build the collection that I have
now. It pleases me to think that at least for another few years,
classic D&D will live on in Usenet form.
