I'm putting the cut up in d-s now for those who may not want to DL the whole thing again but who are curious about what was cut and then uncut. The filename is GOF85_thecut and the subject line begins "details in abdec".
It's a straight VirtualDub begin-bframe end-bframe del hackjob, leaving only the Cody-restrained footage. Chopped out of an unfiltered AVI I made from the original takimoto post. It's 09m10s, close to the difference you noted.
It would be interesting to see what's between those endpoints in the cut version. Anybody wanna give that a shot?
