This Paradise Visuals production was shot on video and the tape I got was excellent
so the resulting picture quality is excellent. The original sound was very good and
I did something new this time: I cleaned up the hiss with Nero Wave Editor. I'm very
satisfied with the overall result. :-D
One final note: the end credits were cut slightly short on the tape.

VIDEO:
VirtualDub was used to clip the raw AVI capture stream, de-interlace and
frameserve it to TMPGenc. Settings: 2-Pass VBR (Min 4000, Avg 6000, Max 8000),
Motion Search Precision @High Quality.
AUDIO:
Movie soundtrack exported as WAV file with VirtualDub. Cleaned up hiss from WAV
using Nero Wave Editor. Settings: automatic noise analysis mode, -100db gain floor,
60% reduction level. AC3Machine was used to convert WAV to AC3. Settings: Channels
mode @stereo, Bitrate @224Kbps and Delay @500msec to pull audio back in synch with
video. All other settings unchecked.
DVD MENUS:
DVD-Lab was used to create and render the animated menus to uncompressed AVI
format. Those were then encoded to MPEG2 elementary streams with TMPGenc. The menu
highlight bitmaps were obtained by compiling the DVD-Lab project and extracting the
menu subpictures from VTS_01_0.VOB with SubRip. The VOB's created by DVD-Lab were
then discarded and all the extracted sources were then imported into DVD Maestro
for the actual authoring stage of the project.
DVD COVER:
Sorry, this tape came in a generic white box with no cover art so I have no
high resolution covers for this one. The included cover is only a concatenation
of low-res pictures found on the web. The bitmap is oriented properly and is
@1:1 scale, ready for printing with any bitmap browser/paint tool.

Install Notes

Extract the VIDEO_TS folder and burn with your favorite app. The DVD cover scan
is in a separate RAR file. Legal size (8-1/2 x 14) paper must be used to print
the full-size cover otherwise the edges will be clipped.
