Maybe a nicer way of putting it is that the underlying problems (lighting
comes and goes, blasts of very high contrast, periodic attacks of green,
goes out of focus for no apparent reason, and so on) are still there.
If this is in fact the GVC print, there may still be hope, since it led a
previous life as an AVC release (c)1986. But that isn't clear, because the
GVC artwork sez (c)2008....
That being so, you'd think that Excalibur was renting out the AVC release
in 2004, but....
It's not hopeless. You can take it apart and filter it enough to even
things out quite a bit [ see "tSoSF86_rebuilt.avi.jpg" ] but we still need
to dig up a non-Excalibur non-GVC source.
