I'll also add that I've reached to some former and current stars to find
Cheri. I would like to have an interview -- phone, e-mail, IM, whichever
-- and write her definitive biography for my series.
But Cheri has faded into the mainstream, by her choice. She makes a
public appearance from time to time but I've learned she left the
business as her daughter was getting to the age of understanding what
she was doing for a living. Cheri also remarried and took up a new,
normal career -- leaving her porn past in the distance of the rearview
mirror.
Now that her daughter is college-aged, I'm hoping Cheri will resurface
in the classy way she always carried herself in a cold, hard business
that didn't treat a universally acclaimed nice and caring person with an
ounce dignity.
