Authored NTSC dvd of It's My Body with English audio. Due to the numerous posts
of this movie I'll try to outline the differences in the versions. This post is
a combination of the Alpha-France, Tabu/Love version and a VHS transfer of an
American version (which I will refer to as IMB alt). The majority of this post
is made up of the Alpha-France version.
The first thing to note is that the European cut (Alpha-France and Tabu/Love) is
slightly different than the American cut (IMB alt). These differences include:
- Changes in the opening credits
- In the European version Cara Lott's scene is missing parts present in the
American version
- Minor cuts to the beginning of the Traci Lords and Stacey Donovan scene
- Cut part of the scene where Traci is in the car
Also there seems to be a difference in the entire way the two versions were cut
together, in such a way that you're not really missing content but trying to use
the English audio from the American version to replace the German or French
audio is next to impossible.
In addition to the above mentioned cuts Alpha-France also cut:
- Part of the scene in the restaurant
- The Christy Canyon, Paul Thomas scene by about 30 seconds
- Entirely removed the Christy Canyon, Tom Byron scene
This brings us to differences between this post and my previous post of the
movie. Mainly I used the Tabu/Love instead of IMB alt for the restaurant scene
and the CC,TB scene. I also managed to get back the missing part of the CC,PT
scene cut by Alpha-France. In my previous version I replaced part of Cara
Lott's scene with some of the missing footage present in IMB alt. In this
version I left the Alpha-France version as is and included the IMB alt version
in the Bonus Scenes section of the dvd. I also changed the way I cut in the CC,
TB scene and repaired part of the audio in the TL,SD scene.
The audio I used to replace the French and German audio was taken from a Swedish
subtitled avi (quality is fair), with a few patches from various other sources.
So to recap this version consists of the following:
- Alpha-France version (the majority of the movie)
- Tabu/Love version for the restaurant scene, part of the CC, PT scene and the
CC, TB scene
- IMB alt for part of the opening credits and a small part at the end where
Traci is in the car
- Swedish subtitled avi for the English audio
I did some color correcting on the Tabu/Love version to get it to more closely
match the Alpha-France version (see video sample 2). Video sample 1 is taken
from the Alpha France version.
So a big Thank You to Burp for posting all of these versions of the movies.
Hopefully my combination of them will prove satisfactory.
