This DVD has the best video quality of the movie that I've seen. It's
better than the VCA version plus it has some nice extra material
including a good interview with Eric Edwards (although he wasn't in
"Deep Throat," he did know Linda and worked with her in her early
stuff including the infamous dog loop.
There's also the original scrolling text introduction before the movie
begins and in the Extras section is a video intro by Damiano that was
probably shown in some theaters before the movie began.
One thing I immediately noticed about this DVD that the above review
didn't mention was that the famous cheesy organ music that opens the
movie is not here. The music I'm talking about is this:

On this DVD, there is different music during the opening sequence.
Two theories:
1). Perhaps the music here IS the original music used in the early
prints of the movie and it was later replaced with the cheesy organ
music that everybody remembers. If this is the case, then it's cool
to have the original music.
Or
2). The cheesy organ music WAS the original music but Arrow couldn't
get the legal rights to it so they chose to replace it.
I wish I knew the answer. If Arrow replaced it, then this would make
a nice project for somebody - put the cheesy organ music back in! The
trick would be doing it without having to re-render the movie (which
would hurt the video quality)
One last thing - a couple years after Arrow released this DVD, the
original negative to "Deep Throat" was found and Arrow supposedly
produced an HD version. Did this ever get released?? I found a
