Fair question.
For me, the message from JB Fan was actually unreadable.
I can't even horizontal scroll to read it.
The only way I can actually read it is to click 'Reply' (whether I intend to
send one or not), and then I still must horizontal scroll across the entire
message to read it. Usually, after going through all of this, I then click
'Cancel' and don't actually create and send a reply.
I think this is crazy.
Forte Agent allows me to set the number of characters for a line and then it
will format my message as I type.
You may notice that many of the posters don't format their .NFO files. Again,
just one long single line. You can see this when you try to read their .NFOs in
BinSearch. But at least there I can horizontal scroll to read it.
The <enter> key was formerly known as the <return> key. This in turn was short
for 'carriage return'. That was what one did on an old mechanical typewriter
when you came to the end of a typewritten line. A bell would ring, and in a
typical Pavlovian response, you would slide the carriage to the right in order
to begin a new line.
I still have my old Smith-Corona, although I haven't actually used it in many
years.
Hope you can understand some of this,
Isis
