i used 2 work n a vid store that worked thus -- u find the box on the
wall, bring it 2 the counter, we give u the tape. some ppl would ask
if something wuz n b4 they looked, not so bad. some ppl would give a
cursory look & claim they could not find it -- at which i smiled thru
clinched teeth & whispered 2 whoever was behind the counter w/ me --
"would u like me 2 watch it 4 u 2?"
it seems there r ppl to whom u cannot give gifts no matter how much
they claim 2 want them. they wouldn't take $ from u -- especially not
if'n they thot they wuz doin' u a favor by taking it. as me sweet mum
used 2 say, u couldn't pay some ppl 2 work n a pie factory -- even as
a taster!
well, we'll just make up 4 it by making our own community here. we
don't gotta like each other -- but we treat each other with respect &
always remember to thank our benefactors.
