LMAO. This page describes where some of the other buttons are and how
a person might use them, plus a little bit about what they're for.
--Creating PAR2 files
"If you are posting the files on UseNet, then it is recommended that
you choose a block size that exactly matches the article size you plan
to use...In the screenshot above, you will see that the block size is
set to 384,000 bytes (which corresponds to the article size you will
normally get with yEnc and a line count of 3000)."
A note of explanation. yEnc is encoded using 128 characters per line,
each character being 1 byte. In this example 3000*128=384000. So...
4000*128=512000
6000*128=768000 etc.
(You'll notice there's a check box [x] to make that happen, "Restrict
block size to multiples of UseNet article size".)
You'll also notice for the other option "Recovery File Size" lots of
people use 1. Variable (powers of 2 sizing scheme). That's useful
because it allows downloading just the amount needed.
