He did many, many series. I remember watching it when I was younger, it used to
be on at 1:30 on a Sunday.
Not sure where you are both from but 'Out of Town' was produced by a local TV
broadcaster (Southern TV) and then shown on the main network. Southern lost it's
franchise in 1981 along with a few other broadcasters. as a result of this, 'Out
of Town' then ceased to be made.
From what I can gather, these shows were put together in the late 80s from Jacks
own footage and the links produced in his shed!
The original shows followed the same format but Jacks links were filmed in a TV
studio with a shed mockup.
If you're interested, Jack also appeared in a childrens factual TV series here
in the UK called 'How!' for many, many years finishing in the late 70s.
There were 4 presenters providing answers to various questions. They each
'specialised' in different areas. It was called 'How!' as each question started
off with such things as 'How do you measure time with a crystal?' (Quartz) etc.
Jack always dealt with the country / fishing type questions such as 'How do they
get a ship in a bottle?'
