All is not lost. Much of the stuff that JCBinUp posts can be found in
alt.binaries.teevee in .mp4 and .mkv format and if not there then in
alt.binaries.boneless and/or alt.binaries.nl. It's hard to keep track
of programs in such groups because of the high volume but by using
BinSearch you can find pretty much what you want. For example the
second episode of "Japan: Earth's enchanted islands" was posted three
days ago:

Note: alt.binaries.teevee is "Search in the other groups".
