I think that the world is headed towards these new formats, I also
don't think
that avi will ever be completely replaced... but what do I know !?
A lot of stuff posted there is posted in both the lower rez. MP4 AND
also the higher rez. MKV, I usually go for the lower MP4 myself unless
I have no choice.
I have some very crappy ancient files from the days of 'asf' format...
VH1 - I Love The 70's (115MB per episode)
VH1 - I Love The 80's (170MB per episode)
Too crappy to post in this day and age but I'm hoping that someone
will post (or I find) better rips.
Examples of the two formats posted in teevee are...
i.love.the.2000s.part2.2001.hdtv.x264-w4f.mp4
...at about 300MB per episode.
i.love.the.2000s.part2.2001.720p.hdtv.x264-w4f.mkv
... at about 1GB per episode.
Still no sign of Part #1, I'm guessing it might be another of those
series that will be sat on my HDD for months waiting to be filled :(
I'm a product of the late 60's, so I also prefer to watch this type of
stuff from the 70s, 80s, even into the 90s... too new just doesn't do
the nostalgia 'trip' for me :)
