Even at that PAR was 2 blocks short of being able to repair.

QuickPar shows the number of additional blocks needed. Anyone can generate
additional PARs and next time if you'll say how many you need it will make
it simple to provide them.

That's where Binsearch comes in handy. If it shows a post is complete you
know it made it to the original server. Incompletes elsewhere are a failure
of other servers to collect the articles, as in this case.
Astraweb's problems are sporadic. Sometimes, but not always, on the
weekends. If you look back notice the other post JC made on 2/28 was
incomplete also. The first episode of this program posted 2/21 was
incomplete and on a Saturday also. (It needs 11 blocks more than provided.)
I see less problems in the smaller picture groups but there's a big hole ~3
months long in some MP3 groups at the beginning of 2009 that is like swiss
cheese. :(
Even worse from my perspective is for most of last year Astraweb would
often show posts as complete but return a 'not found' when I attempted to
download something. On a group of MP3s with no PAR that means throuwing the
whole lot out because there is no hope of repair.
EasyNews pulled the same shite for yrs along with the rest of the HighWinds
family which had their users asking for reposts most any weekend. Even the
reposts ended up being incomplete as often as not so it was all just wasted
bandwidth.
