Did you download with Agent or with Easynews web interface?  
  
VERY interesting. Bluerope's post are just fine when accessed via the  
Easynews HTTP (Browser) interface.  
  
The corruption appears with Agent. Both my V3.1, and apparently  
Hopper's V1.93.
