As it is, the image you've posted can't be digitized directly because
it's way too rough - looks like pen and ink or pencil written on a
ribbed fabric, and then smudged.
FYI, I ran your unmodified image through Click'n'stitch and attached
is a picture of the result. I'm surprised that it did even this well :(
