No, and just some of the comments or knowledge levels in these two
threads illustrate very well why people are not "getting it" and why
some never will "get it".
Usenet to be used to the full extent has to be studied just like a
User Manual for the overlocker. A small amount of work and everyone
gets posts and all are happy. Some people have gone to a lot of pain
to help others understand these things only to see the work attract

Two reasons your comment is naive and often repeated by posters who
do not think beyond their eyeballs.
There is another newsgroup created specifically for helping and
testing. It is named in the helps posted. An old member long departed
created that group from an abandoned group. Some here did their best
raging in denying access to users of the group.
Second, for the very reasons named by ES there are a number of groups
*all* savvy news providers will not carry.

Groups that are known to waste bandwidth providing cost with no income
from traffic are banned by the PROVIDERS. This is exactly the same
scenario that saw Internet providers swap out to limited access or in
some cases _no access_ for their users.
Sure you can ask for a group to be added. If it happens, good for you
it helps you and no one else. If the request is not honored then you
are in the same boat as everyone else.
Some people just never learn and swapping groups around is _NO
SOLUTION_, posting to anywhere else is for the birds and done to waste
peoples time and money.
Finally, the person posting the scares is no Troll.
The posts have been done before many times over with TIME illustrating
they are bogus and the poster has no power or knowledge themselvz.
Take store of what they post and you lose, the words are meaningless
as ABCP has proven time and time again.
All of this we old sewers know and a lot of it is written in the
helps but we started out reading, not posting supercilious repeats of
what was known long before we subscribed and written down for us.
As one example you can look at your own posting of messages, your
attribution and quoting are all screwed up and this is easy fixed with
just some work. But will you?
