"Tatami" is a very commonly used term in some martial arts.
It simply means "mat" in Japanese.

simply because you can sew. When I first began
reading ABCP back in Feb2004 my knowledge
of a running stitch was something experienced
during sports training! Tatami, when I first saw
it mentioned, could have been someone pointing
at a new Jap motor-bike range!
