I did ask him to try to get the file for me from the supplier, I am
waiting to see if he is able to get it. I wasn't holding my breath
for it though because I thought the same thing, that he probably left
the rights to the designer. He was surprised that I even had a sewing
machine that could stitch it for him.
The design was about the size that I resized the logo to, about 2.5
inches, they were on hats.....and in my opinion very poorly done. I
don't have one of the hats, so I am trying to recall what I didn't
like about it from memory, unfortunately he lives in Colorado 1,000
miles away from me.
In my opinion for a design that small, it needs to lose quite a bit
of detail. I was thinking of stitching the top half of the fish in a
green and yellow threaded together, and a peachish pink on the bottom,
with just a small amount of dappling on the top half of the fish in
black, and a few lines on the tail and fins, just enough to give it a
little character.
You gave me an idea though, I may have to bring my laptop to work
tonight, maybe if I bring the fish in photoshop and trace a few lines
on a separate layer, erase the old lines and put the layer with fewer
lines on top of the fish and merge it down. I will give that a try
tonight.
You are really awesome for helping me out with this. You are giving
me ideas.
