Some (most) folk spend their time learning the little
tips and tricks of Usenet to either help themselves be
more efficient or to help others.. some never bother
learning more than how to post text so as to harass
groups as a "fun thing" to do.

Why..?.. primarily because when IT started using Usenet
someone somewhere gave him a spanking over his little
stupidities which he refused to correct.
MOE users are usually greeted in this manner.. standard
Usenet introduction in many many groups.
Generally they are that "thick" it takes a few lessons
to get them to see MOE fails at reading NGs.
btw... he is still doing some of it today.. just ask IT
about "top posting"!!
