Something extra in parting?
Always include at least some of the post you are
responding to, and the attribution.
This helps those reading the post to identify the
poster you are responding to and the points you are
discussing.

Or you could just use the news reader / browser included in your operating
system, MS Outlook Express, with it's superior threading system, that allows
you to see who has posted the post. MS OE is a good way to make threading
sensibly visble so people know , exactly who you are responding to without
the extra keystrokes.
Most find people using these other newsreader / email programmes too easily
confused by the goobble-dee-gook features built into them. Way too much
overkill for the average reader / poster. Bad threading, confusion and
Usenet fights result from the misunderstandings.
But again. If you don't do it hopper's way you will regret it as he stalk's
you to the ends of the Internet /snortle/
What could be worse than an online pre-teenager pestering you, using hundred
of different names and accounts?
