Vector images aren't easier, and if converted from a raster image are
no better, and usually much WORSE than the original image.
There's no need or advantage to produce a vector image. Some things,
like corporate and team logos are readily available as vectors to
start out with, but good hi-res images work just as well. SimplyMe
does take some posted images and, working from scratch, re-creates
them as vectors, then posts both the vector and a large bitmap. That
really helps with some of the poorer images that might otherwise be
un-digitizable.
