I've tried all I could find, but my finding could be a little out of
date.
I was serviced by different kinds of private and public FTP servers,
got astringed by Limewire, kicked by eMule, wasn't found by ICQ, got
down to brass tacks with bulletin boards, and AOL was LOL.
There were others I don't remember, just that I remember that I don't
remember. Maybe.
So far, Usenet looks like the best way for sharing large amounts of
files with a large number of people the fastest and most secure way,
depending on how you use it.
Not that it's perfect. And not that I do any of that! LOL
