I'm posting through you Doc to gizzmo about trust so your post will be
included in mine.

Should we *trust* you about Doc? Or anything else you post? What is
about you that makes you trustworthy to us? You didn't give us any new
info or ideas that was never posted before but you did say some things
that weren't true about some people. So on balance Doc looks more
trustworthy. If you want to trash his rep you need to try harder not to
trash your own rep at the same time.
Moot it is though. Only a ignorant gullible fool would trust anyone
posting here about anything. We can never be sure who is posting what
we see. It could be *anybody* behind the nic at any time.
Impersonations are easy. A poster sends you email. How do you know its
really *that* poster and not somebody else like LEA? Maybe they even
took over his computer after arresting him. We all have so much to
looooose by one simple misstep we would be suicidally stupid to "trust"
what people here say and do in post or in email. Good thing is we don't
have to. Security info is available in lots of places. We can check out
them all and then make up our own minds whats real or not.
We have a sad/bad history about trust here that should more than prove
what I say about it to people who have been here for years.
Advice:
Don't believe anything anybody posts just because they post it. Don't
believe "reputations" good or bad that other people push on you about
other people. They lie like a rug for their own selfish agenda. Make up
your own mind if only to prove to other posters you actually have one.
Watch what posters do and *how* they do it to learn something about
security and something about them as individuals. Get advice from lots
of people before you take it seriously but above all always think the
worst about security until you have proof differently.
There is no such thing as perfect security not even in death so you
sure won't find it here! Just try to know as much as you can about
security and be as careful as you can with what you chooooose to do. If
you want to do something illegal do your best not to be noticed!
