Thanks first of all to all posters. Your efforts much appreciated ..
However, I don't download any .rar files as unless I download the
whole lot (and then after a mammoth download session find I don't want
the file anyway), WinRar gives an error. (Even assuming they are not
passworded, which I rarely manage to work out, not being one of the
'regular gang'!).
Is it not possible somehow to 'sample' these files, by just processing
the first of the series, like with a XX.wmv.001 file for instance.
Maybe I have the wrong software for the job?
