Okay, here's the bit.
In 1988, I published a book called "Do You Want to Know a Secret." This
was basically me going through my beatleg collection and trying to make
sense of what was in it.
As part of the book, I covered an 11-LP set called "The Get Back
Journals." (This was before bootleggers -- and others -- got their
hands on the more or less complete Twickenham-Apple tapes. Some of it
had appeared previously on the "Sweet Apple Tracks" LPs, but there was
still material that most had never heard before.)
In that set, there was a snippet I called "When You're Drunk You Think
of Me" (as part of a medley with "What's the Use of Getting Sober" and
"What Do You Want to Make Those Eyes at Me For?"). It's brief, but you
probably know the bit I'm referring to. As I recall, I was the one who
first named it based on how I interpreted what I heard, and the name
stuck. The material has been booted many times since then.
Last month (30 years later!) I stumbled across this on YouTube:

What I need is for some Beatlefans to listen to the song and tell me
whether they think it's "When You're Drunk..." I'm pretty sure it is
(although they may be screwing up the lyrics, and it's part of the
chorus and not a verse). It didn't sound like an improv, but I was
never able to track it down -- and that's been a real bee in my bonnet.
It was an old Irish folk song, so the Beatles probably knew it, and it
had been released as a single in 1967 by the Dubliners (accompanied by
a "Top of the Tops" appearance).
