Hey RDean;
I don't mean to be hard on them, mostly I was being tongue-in-cheek. Like
I say, she's just not my style. I am not big on Bourboulon, Sturges,
Ovenden or Mann either. They don't suit my taste, however they are
certainly talented artists. The subject matter, well... I don't like
anything better under the sun.
As far as the general climate or culture of the time, I am definitely on
board with your statements. My favorite photographers are David Hamilton,
Chris Nikolson, Fabio Cabral, Shoken Takahashi, Yoji Ishikawa, Garo Aida
etc. I own all the Hamilton films and many, many, many others from the
genre.
It is good to see Ionesco still has some admirers, I posted her book in
the hope that would be the case :-) Little Eva's not so bad, she just
usually wears so sour an expression on her face - it would be nice to see
her smile!
