I seem to remember a goody two-shoes character from TV ... the kind of guy
who stands up and cries out "Stop it! Stop it!" when people aren't behaving
up to his high standards ... a guy who just can't deal with the rough and
tumble of real life. A real obnoxious wuss.
I see this guy standing up in the middle of the street, with a crowd
charging towards him. There he is, waving his arms, yelling "Stop! Stop!"
and then he gets trampled. And the laugh track gets really loud.
I thought of Barney Fife, but he doesn't quite capture it.
