If it is your policy not to repost files, I understand, and so will other
people very clearly understand after the current problem regarding the TOY
webcam. True, people should be constantly educating themselves about the
various softwares available, including those which make the use of pars a
possibility. However, there are still people who are relative newbies at
all of this, and it is a common practice in most newsgroups to request
reposts, and depending on the original poster, very often the reposts are
provided. So people are used to asking for them.
You mzy be interested to know tha Easynews also did not carry part
0010...and Easynews is one of the best.
The message from your friend about "who cares if files are missing?" which
then went on to tauntingly describe parts of the webcam which would be
inaccessible to those who couldn't deal with pars was downright cruel in my
opinion.Certainly, no way to earn friends for you or for himself.
In any case, how you deal with the files you so generously post in here is
entirely your business. You have a history of sharing which is outstanding
in the groups.Who knows? Perhaps the "tough love" attitude which you and
your friend have taken about this makes sense and may work...but I truly
hope that, if indeed, the missing file, if not an oversight on your part
originally, will be reposted by someone else with a more compassionate
outlook.
