Amish Man Arrested for Hate Crimes Against Amish
Bergolz, Ohio- In the second hair-related, hair-raising,
national incident in recent months, Amish bishop Sam Mullet
and six others were arrested for attacking his followers
with scissors and battery-operated clippers, and shearing
off their beards.
The attacks caused bewilderment and fear to Mrs. Laverne
Molloy of "Hello, Dolly! Amish Acres" and to the estimated
60,000 Amish of Ohio.
Bishop Mullet, who knew how to hold grudge like an
Amish Irishman, had a long record of feuding with other
Amish leaders who had opposed his ex-communication decrees
against eight families who had left his compound.
Dr. Donald B Kraybill, an expert on Amish at Elizabethtown
College in Pennsylvania described Mullet's mental condition
as the "Self-Hating Amish Syndrome", in which members are
sometimes known to flagellate themselves with buggy whips
until they begin speaking incoherently in tongues.
The self-flagellation is typically followed with expressions of
self-congratulation for their amazing display of humility.
Lawyers for Mullet said that he planned to invoke the
"Amish Panic" Defense, based on an overpowering, irrational
fear of weird-beards.
Steven M. Dettlebach, the U.S. Attorney for northern Ohio
stated that "While people are free to disagree about religion
in this country, we don't settle those disagreements with
late-night visits, dangerous weapons, violent attacks,
or involuntary haircuts. Unless, of course, you are joining
the Unites States Military."

Wholesome, Old-Fashioned Amish Thanksgiving Recipe
Simple Turkey Taco Dish
An easy, delicious, one-dish meal.
Ingredients
2 tubes of Original Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
16 oz. sour cream
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1-1/2 lb. ground turkey
1 packet taco seasoning
1 pint pizza sauce
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
lettuce
tomatoes
1/2 cup Gatorade
2 cups crushed Doritos
1-8 oz. jar Ortega medium taco sauce
Directions
Roll out crescent rolls on 1/2 sheet baking pan to make a
single layer crust. Bake 10 minutes or until golden.
Combine sour cream, cream cheese, lard,. Gatorade
and beat with a buggy whip until well blended
and creamy. Spread mixture on cooled crust.
Add turkey to frying pan. Remove feathers, first.
Add taco seasoning and pizza sauce.
Simmer until well combined. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Gently spoon turkey concoction over the top of sour cream mixture.
Sprinkle cheddar cheese over turkey. Layer with lettuce and tomatoes.
Crush Doritos and sprinkle over top of vegetables.
Lastly, pour taco sauce over the entire dish.
