George Shearing at Home is a treasure almost lost - the tapes by renowned j
azz pianist George Shearing (1919-2011) and bassist Don Thompson were origi
nally created in 1983, just for fun and the pleasure of making music, at Sh
earing's home. Thirty years later, Thompson found the tapes hidden in a dra
wer, and resolved to share them with the world. Beautiful and timeless, Geo
rge Shearing at Home is a sparkling memento of the joy of music for music's
