Native American flute soloist Jan Seiden has been honored with a
Native American Music Awards (NAMA) nomination in the Native Heart
Category for her second album entitled MEMORY OF TIME in the Native
Heart category.

MEMORY OF TIME - This landmark recording is the first Anasazi flute
release by a female artist! Complementary and unifying, the voices of
Native American flutes, bone and clay whistles are accompanied by
conga and Haitian Marimbula; a primal yet eloquent mixture of
percussion and woodwinds. All sounds on MEMORY OF TIME were created by
handcrafted instruments, including one made personally by Jan, and her
Anasazi flute; a replica of an 800-year old archeological relic.

Jan's pure tones and flawless technique make MEMORY OF TIME an

OF TIME was produced by Peter Phippen (Canyon Records recording
Artist) and co-produced by Ivar Lunde, Jr. (shared 1st Prize in the
1977 Oslo Concert Hall Composition Contest for symphonic music, and
currently principal conductor for the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra) in
the setting of Lunde, Jr's state-of-the-art classical music studio.
Phippen and Lunde, Jr. blend their respective expertise in world folk,
rock, classical and early music to create a pure sonic experience that
allows Seiden's sweet phrases and technical innovation to speak for
themselves.

The Native American Music Awards was created as a method to provide
Native Music its proper due and respect on a national level and to
prove that there is a viable and professional industry. The 11th NAMA
Ceremony will be hosted by Gil Birmingham. Ritchie Valens is to be
inducted into the NAMA Hall of Fame, and Stevie Salas is to receive

ABOUT JAN SEIDEN: Jan Seiden's moving and soulful eloquence speaks the
language of the heart. Evocative music of flutes from the ancient
Anasazi people and other more contemporary indigenous nations flow

Musical Echoes Native American Cultural Gathering's national flute
players' competition and 2006 recipient of an Individual Artist Award
