I like the movie, although I am a bit sad to see Bill Murray getting
so old, quite unlike the cheerful, indolent boss in Scrooge, and more
earlier, in GhostBusters.

As explained by the screenwriter, the movie is based on her
observation and experience during her short stay in Japan a number of
years back, so it could only be a very subjective and personal
rendition of what Japan is like.

The story sounds quite bleak as the two characters met and, when they
began to show affection for each other, separated without the chance
of further developing their friendship.
